"Jurgen, if you score your first goal here, we're all going to do a
dive".
Teddy Sheringham

This is the shirt Jurgen Klinsmann wore on his League Debut for Spurs, the game in which he 'dived' and wrote himself into the club's History.
The shirt comes with a letter of authenticity on official Spurs
letterhead paper, and is signed by a member of staff,
this piece is one of the most exciting of all contemporary match-worn shirts.
This shirt is not for sale, and will be shortly lent to the club once their museum opens.

Klinsmann made his debut for Spurs in 1994 and scored a header to mark the occasion. Answering all the jibes about his faking injury and diving in the previous 2 World Cups, Jurgen took the
opportunity to run to the travelling Spurs fans and "dive" towards them, in what has now become one of the most
memorable moments in Spurs history. Jurgen continued to become one of Spurs' greatest and most exciting players ever
So,
a little about authenticity. The shirt is
totally different from the replica at the time-
the largest difference being it is made out of a
higher quality, and slightly different colour
fabric. The Holsten logo to the front is
embossed rather than printed on (muddy from the
dive), the Umbro and Spurs logos are both
embroidered into the shirt, instead of printed
on like the replica. The sleeve badges are also
hand sewn. The shirt is signed in silver to the
front by Jurgen, and to the famous number 18 in
black.

Klinsmann
interviewed on the events of the game:
Jurgen: "It was a very special moment because before the game started we were welcomed at Sheffield Wednesday's stadium by all the diving signs, 5.9, 5.8, all that sort of thing and we were all laughing about it. Teddy Sheringham came up and said 'Jurgen, if you score your first goal here, we're all going to do a dive'. It was like all the pieces of the puzzle came together, I scored the goal and the whole team came over and did the dive. The wonderful thing was that the fans from Sheffield even laughed about it. Everyone took it the right way and it was a great way to start the season."
